Nimble Nits and Greater Acrobat

The goblin racial edge Nimble Nit says:

"they gain access to the brinchie Racial Edge, Greater Acrobat, if the goblin has the Acrobat Edge."

Obviously, this means they don't have to be Brinchie or have the Catlike Grace edge to take this edge, but is it also necessary to be Veteran before a goblin can take Greater Acrobat?

Yes.  And you have to take Greater Acrobat as a separate edge. Nimble Nit gives access to that edge which means it's available to be taken as long as you meet the other requirements of the edge.

The same goes for any other similar sithation. If an edge grants access it means you have the ability to take it when you fill out the other requirements. If an edge says it grants you the other edge then you get the other edge (but only if the edge you are taking says you get it or its effects).

I hope I've clearly explained that.  Please feel free to ask for clarification on anything I said if there is still confusion and I'll answer as quickly as I can.

An example of not needing to meet the requirements would be Life in Balance Legendary edge which grants the racial edges themselves (not merely access to them) and allows you to gain other racial edges by retaking Life in balance (eg: you could take Stonewalker without needing the d12 vigor).
