House Helt of Olara

Are there any extra texts written about the Olaran house of Helt?

Is there any more information that anyone has that might help me roleplay a son of a noble from this house (not the eldest).

Thanks

Helt. Most professional fighters in Olara (and many throughout Shaintar), upon encountering a truly skilled and dangerous warrior, will ask if he or she was trained by a Helt. Founders of the most prestigious military academy in the kingdom, it is believed that no family knows more about the art or the science of war. By royal decree, the family must maintain the eldest and most experienced of its officers at the Helt Academy, lest their expertise be lost on the battlefield. The Helt Academy is located in the mountains above the capital city.

Do you happen to play the game Legends of the Five Rings? If so, I would look to the Lion Clan Akodo's for inspiration. If not, I would play such a character as being more level headed, cold and calculating. He was be a warrior of planning and cunning. Years of harsh military discipline, but less combat and more leadership would give him confidence, perhaps a bit of arrogance, but he would be a good organizer, but aloof. Commanders are trained to never get too close to those they may have to send to their deaths. Obviously, he would want to be in charge of any group, but the best leaders make excellent followers, so once another leader was established, he would be the best NCO possible.

Personally, again, there is pride and some arrogance, but also a deep sense of duty and a love of knowledge and learning. In battle, I doubt a member of this family, unless you are playing one who has turned their back on family customs, would want to be a frontline fighter. Better to see the scope of the field and lend strength where needed.

Character build, I'm seeing noble and knight edges, leadership edges (obviously), Kn: Battle, but perhaps Bard or Charismatic.

Cold, efficient, pragmatic, proud, aloof, arrogant, cunning, educated, intelligent, confident and at all times a leader and warrior.

That is how I would see them.

Olara is one of the many Guidebooks I have to get to at some point.
